1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Decode My Report, the publisher of decodemyreport.com (“we”, “us”, “the site”).
They should be read with our Privacy Policy. If a paid service, consultation, or extra tool is added later, that service may have its own terms. Those extra terms control if they conflict with this page on that service only.
2. The service
Decode My Report is an educational library about blood tests: panels, markers, units, reference ranges, and the questions those numbers often raise.
We may change, pause, or remove pages without notice. We do not promise that every test in existence will be listed, that every laboratory’s method will be described, or that a page will match the printout in your hand.
Access is currently offered without a required account. If accounts, search logs tied to an identity, or report tools are added, we may set extra rules for those features.
3. Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for a licensed clinician, a laboratory, or emergency care. Reading a page does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
- Reference ranges differ by laboratory, method, age, sex, pregnancy, altitude, and other facts we cannot see.
- A value inside a published range can still matter. A value outside a range is not, by itself, a diagnosis.
- If a result is marked critical, or you feel unwell, seek urgent medical care. Do not wait on this website.
- Do not start, stop, or change medicine, supplements, or diet solely because of something you read here.
Decisions about your health belong to you and the clinicians who have examined you and seen your full record.
4. Acceptable use
You may read and share links to public pages for personal, educational use. You may not:
- Copy the library in bulk, scrape the site with automated tools in a way that burdens the server, or republish our pages as your own.
- Remove credits, watermarks, or source notes from our material.
- Use the site to give the impression that we have reviewed a specific person’s report unless we have a separate written engagement to do that.
- Attempt to break, overload, or probe the site, or to access non-public systems.
- Post or send unlawful, defamatory, or deceptive content, or another person’s medical information without authority.
- Use the content to train a public model or commercial dataset without our written permission.
We may block access if these rules are broken.
5. Intellectual property
The name Decode My Report, the site design, original text, original diagrams, and arrangement of the library are owned by us or our licensors. Laboratory names, assay names, and public-domain medical facts are not claimed as our invention.
You receive a limited, revocable licence to view the pages for your own non-commercial use. That licence is not a transfer of ownership and is not a right to reuse our wording on another website, in an app, or in a product.
Short quotation with a clear link back to the original page is allowed. Wholesale reproduction is not.
6. Messages you send
If you email us or use a form, you are responsible for the accuracy of what you send and for having the right to send it. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use that material to reply, to keep ordinary records, and to improve the library where you have not asked us to keep it private.
Do not send information you are not willing to transmit over email. We are under no duty to answer every message, review every report, or keep an open correspondence.
7. Other sites
Pages may link to laboratories, journals, clinics, or tools we do not control. Those destinations have their own terms and their own risks. A link is not an endorsement and is not a guarantee that the destination is complete or current.
8. Disclaimer
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that pages are free of error, that ranges match your laboratory, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that any suggested “next question” is the question your clinician will consider decisive.
Medical knowledge and assay methods change. A page that was careful on the day it was edited can fall behind. Check the sources your own clinician uses.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Decode My Report and the people who write, host, or review the site are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of health, data, profit, or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any page.
If a court finds that we are liable despite this section, our total liability for all claims arising out of the site is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD 100), or the smallest amount the applicable law will allow if a floor cannot be set that low.
Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, the limit applies only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence where such an exclusion is forbidden.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Decode My Report and its writers, editors, hosts, and contractors against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs that arise from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or content you send us.
11. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law in your country gives you the right to sue where you live.
If a part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a rule once is not a waiver of that rule.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new Terms.
