1. Who we are
Decode My Report (“we”, “us”) publishes educational pages about blood tests at decodemyreport.com. This policy applies to that website and to pages served from it.

2. What this policy covers
It covers information collected through the website: pages you visit, searches you run on the site, messages you send us, and technical data created by your browser.
It does not cover other websites we link to, laboratory companies, clinics, or any clinician you consult after reading a page here. Those parties have their own policies.

- Cookie identifiers and similar storage, as described below.
We do not ask for passwords to patient portals, and we do not need your full laboratory PDF to let you read the library.

- To understand which tests and markers people look for, so the library can be completed in the right order.
- To answer messages you send.
- To measure traffic and fix broken pages.
- To comply with law, prevent abuse, and defend the site if required.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the content of a private message to target advertisements about a medical condition.
5. Cookies and analytics

Decode My Report publishes general information about blood tests. Reading a page is not a medical service and does not create a clinician–patient relationship.

If a future tool on this site lets you look up a marker against a value you type, treat that value as information you chose to provide; we will describe on that tool whether the value is stored or only processed in the browser.
We are not a covered entity under HIPAA by virtue of publishing this library. If that status ever changes, this policy will change with it.
8. How long we keep it
Server and analytics logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the site, then deleted or made anonymous. Email you send is kept for as long as the conversation and ordinary record-keeping require. You may ask us to delete a message thread by writing to the address above.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to export it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis for processing.
Send the request to [email protected]. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. We will answer within the time the applicable law requires.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you are not satisfied, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you may also designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.
10. Children
The site is written for adults who are reading laboratory language. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use ordinary industry measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), restricted access to inboxes and servers, and limited retention of logs. No website can promise perfect security. Do not put highly sensitive medical identifiers into a search box or an unsolicited email if you can avoid it.
12. Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after that date means the updated policy applies to later visits.
